The world-famous Elafonissi Beach is located 76 km west of Chania, on the southwestern point of Crete. It is actually a peninsula, sometimes being torn in two by water. Near the breaking point of the peninsula, a small lagoon with small water is created, ideal for children, which can be easily crossed to reach the other side of the peninsula.
On both sides of the peninsula are formed exotic beaches, with fine white sand, with pink portions, turquoise and shallow water. Next to it are high mountains that cross the southwest coast of the island of Crete. The area is protected by Natura 2000, housing many rare plants and animals.
Each photo has a resolution of 5472 x 3648 Pixels. They were made on June 12, 2021. The camera used is Panasonic Lumix LX15.
